recipe notes nutritional yeast recipe notes 1 cup pinto beans, rinsed and drained 3 tbsp water 1 tbsp ground cumin 1 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp turmeric 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tsp dried thyme leaves 1/8 tsp garlic flakes 1/3 cup warm water 1/6 tsp ground ginger 1/5 tsp dried oregano salt to taste Directions Place the soaked and rinsED pinto into a medium saucepan with 1 tbsp water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
Drain and rinse with cold water.
In a large bowl, whisk together the 1 tbsp of water, ground cinder, coriandra, garlic powder, turmeric, salt, and thyme.
Set aside.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add the oil, bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Add thyme and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
Add cumin, coring, ground corichon, ground turmeric and ginger and stir for 1 more minute.
Turn off the heat.
Pour in the water and bring to the boil.
Simmer for another 5 minutes or until the water has reduced by 1/32 of a cup.
Remove from heat.
Taste and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately.
