Ingredients: 8 oz ground turkey, finely chopped 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef (optional) 1 cup of tomato paste (optional, but highly recommended) 1/4 cup of sour cream 1/8 cup of olive oil 1/3 cup of brown sugar (optional but highly recommend) 1 teaspoon of salt 1/6 teaspoon of black pepper Directions: Place all of the ingredients in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat and then reduce the heat to low.
Let it boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the water has completely absorbed the tomato paste, remove from the heat.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey with the rest of the ground beef, tomato paste and sour cream.
Mix well.
Add the remaining ground beef and mix well.
Pour the mixture into a large skillet and heat over medium high heat until it begins to bubble.
Add a little olive oil and brown sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add in the remaining sour cream and mix until it forms a soft dough.
The dough should be slightly tacky, so use your hands to make sure it doesn’t stick to the pan.
Add your cheese, pepperoni, and pepperoni sauce to the dough, then add the cooked turkey.
Let the mixture cook for about 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Remove from the pan and transfer to a plate.
Add some sour cream, brown sugar and salt to the top of the dough.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Serve with tomato sauce on top. Enjoy!
